During his campaign trail, Trump said that he would be stricter on the Islamic State and further stated that he would prefer to send 30,000 US troops to battle against the ISIS extreme groups located in Syria and Iraq. During last week, he gave many agencies including Pentagon, 30 days to provide a plan for defeating the Islamic State.
Chief Petty Officer William Owens died in the first counter-terrorism operation which was approved by President Trump. The raid was initiated by Navy SEAL Team 6 which also left other US commandos wounded while killing 14 militants, as reported by the Pentagon.
Since the 20th January inauguration of Donald Trump, this is the first US combat casualty. Trump left the White House at New York time of 3 PM, flying on the Marine One helicopter with Ivanka, his daughter and Michael Flynn, his national security advisor.
