Reports also have it that humans will just be on the sidelines in the upcoming movie, which seems to be consistent with previous reports that “Transformers 5” will be set on the home planet of the Creator, which is probably Cybertron or what remains of it.

Latest reports also put that “Transformers 5” will have two major plotlines. This was confirmed by Mark Ryan, the actor who lent his voice to Jetfire in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” the third movie of the franchise and Lockdown in “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” the fourth film in the series.

Ryan said that the principal plotline involves the effort of Cade Yeager on earth to spare the world from invaders with the assistance of the Autobots and Dinobots.

The second plotline, on the other hand, will revolve around the true pioneer of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, as he seeks to discover the Quintessons, the creator or the inventors of his race.

Ryan added that the two stories will be inevitably combined together towards the end.

Meanwhile, Stephen Davis, president of Hasbro, proudly stated that the script for the “Transformers” franchise is already prepared for up to 10 years, which he attributes to having that writers’ room last year, under the supervision of Academy Award-winning writer Akiva Goldsman.
