‘Transformers 5’ Likely to Follow the Box-Office Success of ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’

Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that some are dismayed with the direction that the story is heading, according to Crossmap. It stated that Peter Cullen, the voice actor of Optimus Prime, was worried on the apocalyptic turn that the franchise seems to be taking and he already expressed this during “Transformers: Age of Extinction.”

Thus far, there are only a few things that are sure in the upcoming “Transformers 5.” One of those is Wahlberg being included in the cast and will reprise his role as Cade Yeager. Another thing that is already settled as of this time is the plot since the “Transformers: Age of Extinction” ending already provided some hints on what will happen next. Based on the hint, the fifth installment will feature new robots too.

The plot would probably start with a clash between Optimus Prime and the Quintessons, the dark forces that the Autobot leader referred to at the end of the fourth installment. New characters are about to be introduced in “Transformers 5” like Override, Red Alert, and Ultra Magnus on the Autobot side and Scourge, Blitzwing, and Cyclonus for the Decepticons. Other characters that are set to join the Autobots are named as Mechanoids.

Although Unicron was rumored to appear as Optimus Prime’s evil twin brother, there is no confirmation yet for the inclusion of the character in the next film.
