Amid rumors that Theo James is reportedly falling for co-star Shailene Woodley while they are currently filming the two-part third movie of the “Divergent” trilogy, it’s basically normal work for the two stars.
According to a report in Yibada, Ruth Kearney, the girlfriend of the 30-year-old British actor, is getting worried about the working chemistry between her beau and Shailene Woodley, even entertaining notions that Theo might eventually cheat on her.
But Theo James set those notions aside, saying that he just likes Shailene Woodley because she is a confident woman and knows how to handle herself well. The actor said that he grew up with four strong women surrounding him – his mother, grandmother, and two sisters – so he likes the fact that he can see the characters of the women very close to him in Shailene, details Movie News Guide.
He only has high regard for Shailene and her level of professionalism while they were doing the first two movies in the series “Divergent” and “Insurgent.” They are now back filming the two-part third movie titled “Divergent: Allegiant.”
Theo also knows that Shailene is seeing Nahko Bear in real-life so whatever the rumors about the supposed romantic relationship between him and the 23-year-old actress are merely speculations and most likely came as an offshoot of their visible working chemistry in the movie series.
The rumors were further propagated when Theo was quoted in one interview that he has a thing for nice legs, referring to Shailene’s and not his girlfriend Ruth.
Back to work
Filming for the “Divergent: Allegiant” is now under way and Theo James and Shailene Woodley, along with the other cast members of the movie are back in the set to buckle down to work.
It is likely that the production team will film both the first and second part of the third movie in one sitting and will just divide it in a portion somewhere to make it two movies just like what was done with “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay” which was divided into parts 1 and 2 even though the filming was completed before the first part was released to theaters in November last year.
While Theo James still looks exactly the same as the gorgeous hunk who filmed “Divergent” and “Insurgent” in 2013 and last year playing the role of Four, there’s a bit of change in Shailene Woodley, who plays Tris in the series.
Consistent with her two different hairstyles in both “Divergent” and “Insurgent,” Shailene Woodley would have again a different do for “Divergent: Allegiant” and it is going to be a short bob. In “Divergent,” Shailene had her hair long but in the sequel, she sported a pixie cut.
The movie is now filming with a working title “Element” and is due to hit worldwide theaters on March 18, 2016. The second part already has a playdate of March 24, 2017.
Blossomed into a woman
Theo James says that co-star Shailene Woodley has blossomed into a woman since they started filming the “Divergent” movie series about three years ago, indirectly admitting that he finds her attractive.
In a recent interview, James said that Woodley has changed a lot but in a good way and it all happened so fast because they just met a couple of years ago or even less.
He said that he was just a newbie then while Shailene just came from filming for “Spectacular Now,” and what follows was their great on-cam chemistry for the blockbuster hit “Divergent” shown last year playing Four and Tris respectively.
It was subsequently followed by the equally successful sequel titled “Insurgent” that had fans asking for more of their team up.
The chemistry between Theo James and Shailene Woodley onscreen is so obvious that some fans of the series have insinuated that the two may be onto something in their private lives.
