Incidentally, there are reports saying that the new James Bond character will be a tamer one compared to the personification of Daniel Craig on Agent 007, reports the Parent Herald.
That is precisely the reason why Theo James and Tom Hiddleston are still in for the role.
But apparently, the reason why the next James Bond will be tamer is because the last Bond film shown in November last year, “Spectre,” drew negative flak for violence which was, in turn, blamed on the British Board of Film Classification.
As a result, EON Productions, which produces James Bond films, has gone back to the drawing board. Gregg Wilson of EON revealed that the new James Bond is now with the company’s research and development department.
Wilson said that in addition to attempting to tame the character, they are also trying to find out what theme will be relevant for James Bond in the coming years. He did not say however if the impending exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union would affect the iconic role and film franchise.
He said that the new James Bond would likely be high on technology to cover for a tamed overall feel of the character.
