Fan favorite character Cane, played by actor Daniel Goddard, in the American daytime drama TV series “The Young and the Restless” on CBS may have to take a few days off from the filming of the long-running and very popular soap opera.
Goddard apparently broke his elbow while filming a fight scene recently for “The Young and the Restless” but he did not say who he was fighting against in that particular scene.
What is certain is that they may have filmed the scene a little too realistic that cause a major injury to the actor. Goddard actually shared his injury on his Facebook page, worrying most of his fans as well as the millions of fans of “The Young and the Restless.”
Goddard actually shared a photo of himself on September 18 where he was seen sitting in a chair with his left arm in a cast, and his face resting on his right hand. He appears to be very exhausted from the goings on around him, details the Christian Post.
Forced leave from the show
The actor captioned the image by saying that he broke his elbow on that same day while filming a fight scene and he just felt so bummed out.
The photos immediately drew 11,000 likes from his followers on Facebook and most of them commiserated with him for his injury because it would be a bummer for him in the subsequent scheduled filming of “The Young and the Restless.”
Some of his fans also wished him well and were actually hoping that he would not be forced to make a leave of absence because that would mean that Cane would also have to be temporarily out of “The Young and the Restless” too.
Although his character is just playing supporting roles in the soap opera, Goddard has been in the daytime drama for eight years already. His first foray into the show was way back in 2007. His juicy portrayal of Cane, despite limited storyline on the character, has won over fans of the soap opera over the past couple of years.
Investigating the disappearance of Hillary
This week on “The Young and the Restless” is starting off with the ongoing investigation on the disappearance of Hillary, played by Mishael Morgan.
Dylan, played by Steve Burton, will give Paul, played by Doug Davidson, updates on what he learned thus far from Neil, played by Kristoff St. John.
Paul will push the idea that Neil’s alibi would check out because it would appear that he would not be anywhere near Hillary at the time of her disappearance. But Dylan will still be suspicious of Neil and he will think that Paul is just downplaying him, details Celeb Dirty Laundry.
Sharon, played by Sharon Case, will also be seen checking herself into Fairview which will only surprise Paul. Nonetheless, he will be happy that Sharon is committed to getting well again for Dylan and their child. Paul will also inform Dylan that Patty, played by Stacy Haiduk, is at Fairview too.
While Patty will be glad to know that Sharon will be around, Sharon is not interested in getting to be her BFF.
Sharon will also attend a therapy session with her doctor and says that her meeting with Patty had her on the edge because it gave her a painful reminder of the past. The doctor will assure Sharon that she is already in a good place so that she had to focus more on charting a future for herself.
“The Young and the Restless,” which fans also refer to as “Y&R” was created by William J. Bell and Lee Philip Bell for CBS and aired first on March 26, 1973.
