‘The Voice’ Season 9 to See Coaches Getting Pumped Up Over Fresh New Talents!

Season 9 of the reality singing competition “The Voice” will air on NBC on September 21 and the four coaches appear to be real pumped up with the expected deluge of fresh new talents that will be coming to the show.

An interesting sidelight to the battle of coaches for forming their own talent pool at the start of the show is the friendly rivalry between country singer Blake Shelton and pop singer Adam Levine of the Maroon 5.

Blake Shelton has been saying in a recent interview that he will not allow his good buddy Adam Levine to get even with him in the upcoming ninth season because he beat him clean in Season 8.

Accordingly, Adam is trying to steal country artists under Blake’s nose and already successfully convinced one young country singer hopeful to join his team in the first round, who earlier agreed to join the team of the Nashville superstar, details the Vine Report.

Blake said in an interview that Adam will pick talents even though he does not really want them and he will do it because he just does not want him (Blake) to get it. And he thinks it’s funny when country music artists fall for the lure of Adam.

Impressive talents

Reports have it that Blake may be referring to Barrett Baber, whose rendition of “Angel Eyes” impressed all four coaches, making all of them turn their seats.

According to Barrett, he is trying to pioneer a new sound in country music with some soul. He added that there’s some really great music out there, but he thinks there is a place for him in the business with his voice.

Fans will also get to see the return of Gwen Stefani as one of the coaches for “The Voice” Season 9, after allowing Christina Aguilera to pitch in on her behalf during Season 8.

Three other factors that fans are getting excited about Season 9 of “The Voice” is the confirmed participation of Rihanna as main show advisor, as well as Selena Gomez and Missy Elliott as advisors for Gwen Stefani’s and Pharrell Williams’ teams, respectively, cites E! Online.

John Fogerty will be the advisor for the team of Adam Levine, and Brad Paisley will stand as a mentor for the team of Blake Shelton.

Season premiere offerings

Fans would also be happy to know that they should be expecting some good things in the season premiere of “The Voice,” including awesome coaches’ performance, where they are expected to tackle each other’s songs.

As the four coaches are celebrated singers, the result will be just as amazing as any fan could ever imagine.

There is also the usual excitement when coaches become inspired by one particular contestant and they all woo him or her to join their team. Fans hope to see more of those things so that it will be up to the contestant to decide which team he or she would like to join to.

There’s also the mystery contestant where coaches would just listen to someone’s voice and not knowing what they’ll sound like. It is to be called the blind audition for “The Voice,” and it would be the first time ever for the show.

The sob stories or backstories of contestants would also serve as one of the highlights of the show. Reports also have it that there will be more teenager-contestants coming to the show and they are not just capable singers, they are actually good ones too.

Sometime in July, there have been rumors about Justin Bieber reuniting with Selena Gomez on “The Voice” which began after reports came out that the show producers wanted to bring in younger viewers.

It turns out that the last season of “The Voice” was the least rated ever and producer Mark Burnette has taken notice.

Burnette wanted to mix it up to get ratings up and get younger viewers to watch “The Voice.” However, that would mean that one of the current male coaches would have to give up his post so that Justin could fill it.

The Voice Season 9

But it seems that none from Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton are willing to give up their spots in “The Voice” anytime soon.

Blake and Adam are mainstays and they will not be removed according to reports. The production team has talked about the group being paired with Usher and they also talked about seeing Blake, Adam and Justin interact with a girl.

But it is now clear that ‘Jelena’ on “The Voice is not going to happen. It would have been a thrill to fans if “The Voice” would see Justin Bieber as one of the coaches and Selena Gomez as one of the mentors. It would have been more thrilling if Justin would be the judge and his team would have Selena as the mentor.

“The Voice” USA is based on the original “The Voice of Holland” singing competition on TV. The concept of the series is to find new singing talent, whether solo or duets, contested by aspiring singers, age 15 and up, and pick from public auditions.

The winner is normally determined by television viewers voting by telephone, internet, SMS and iTunes Store purchases of the audio-recorded artists’ vocal performances.

Winners of the “The Voice” received $100,000 and a record deal with the Universal Music Group for winning the competition. As the show already has eight seasons, there have also been eight winners to date including Javier Colon, Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradberry, Tessanne Chine, Josh Kaufman, Craig Wayne Boyd, and Sawyer Fredericks.

The show employs a panel of four coaches who critique the artists’ performances. Each coach guides their teams of selected artists through the remainder of the season. They also compete to ensure that their act wins the competition, thus making them the winning coach.
