CW have already confirmed that the next season of “The Vampire Diaries” is scheduled to release this fall, and fans of the show have been getting ready to see yet another installment of their favorite story. We have been hearing various rumors about what might happen in the plot in the new season, and while nothing seems to be set in stone so far, there are some possibilities that seem more prominent than others.
There have also been a few official confirmations from the producers of the show, and one of the things that seems certain right now is that Annie Wersching is going to have a very important role in the next season. She will play Lily Salvatore, and her character will be entangled in a very deep, major storyline that has apparently been brewing up behind the scenes for quite some time now.
Her character was first introduced at the end of season 6, where Stefan and Damon Salvatore – her two sons – believed her to have been dead for a long time. However, she appeared as a reformed Ripper, trapped in the 1903 Prison World. It seems like the plot is going to get very interesting around her in the next episodes of the show, but we can’t say for sure what implications her return might have.
In the beginning of season 7, some characters will be recovering from recent events, while others are getting weaker and weaker. Lily will be trying hard to drive the two brother apart, and there will also be a lot of conflict surrounding the love story between Stefan and Caroline. Fans have been hopeful that the relationship between the two will prevail despite the difficulties, as they have been a very good couple on the screen, and one of the favorite parts of the story for some fans.
Something else that will be expanded on in the new season is the sudden change of setting that we saw at the end of season 6. The finale for the last season showed the story strangely jumping forward by a few years, presenting the world in a more negative light, much like a dystopian version of what it once was. We don’t yet know what the implications of this time jump are, but the show’s producer Caroline Dries did shed some light on that.
According to her, this time jump will play an important role in the narrative of the very first episode of the new season, but we don’t know exactly how this would play out. There is garbage everywhere, windows are boarded up, and it’s obvious that something terrible has happened – but what exactly, we’re going to find out once the season starts airing.
Please don’t replace Elana, I along with a lot of fans will most likely stop watching. So much has happened that all the fans have had 5o my so my much to obsorb and let it sink in.
If you do this and if Nikki is her replacement, u will definitely loose fans and ratings
It was hard for fans to watch Nikki (whom was Nina’s good friend, also I think its safe to say bffs) that would be to fans, rubbing salt to an opened wound.
So please think very hard before doing that. Also Nina promised to come back if u want to change the curse or anything pretaining for her to wake up this way she can end her part the right way, not Nikki’s way. She was very happy Nina left, I felt that was rude, this was Nina’s job and how would Nikki feel if she was and has been treated in such a fasion, making sure Nina saw everything, more salt to wound. What really upsets me and others, why Ian didn’t or wouldn’t stop Nikki from doing all those hateful things.
I think the one that was horrible was when Nina and Nikki’s husband on twilight ( Emmit ), were passing out an award and he wouldn’t stand near her or touch him. He also made those horrible remarks basically saying Nina was sleeping with everyone she touched. (basically calling Nina a whorecut and dry ). Instill not over it this was done in a roomful of stars and their families and over a million people tuned into the awards.
Nina was a trooper. She held her head high and finished her award giving. Now lets put Nikki in same position, I garentie she would have walked of the stage in tears and most likely after saying a few words
As I have said I like Nikki but Nikki gets what Nikki wants no matter who gets in the way.
