Fans have also been requesting the return of gameplay elements that they had in previous “Sims” installments, such as better education options, weather and season cycles, supernatural elements and luxury cars. Some of those will be coming back in future updates indeed, although they will likely be modified in certain ways, while other features might not make their way back into the new title.
In any case, it’s also not clear which of those features are going to be implemented as free content and which are going to cost money, but it’s very likely that many of the new additions to the game will come in the form of premium updates.
That’s the way EA are going to be developing this title it seems, but it doesn’t have to be a bad thing in the end – if it ends up bringing them more money that finds its way back into the game’s development, that would benefit fans just as much as it would the developers themselves.
