‘The Originals’ Season 3 Episode 15 to Feature a Vampire with a History with the Mikaelson Dropping By in New Orleans

While Joseph Morgan’s Klaus already welcomed Paul Wesley’s Stefan Salvatore in New Orleans last episode, not to mention a surprise appearance by vampire huntress Rayna Cruz, he is again set to welcome an unlikely visitor in the upcoming episode of The CW’s “The Originals.”

Episode 15, titled “An Old Friend,” suggests that Klaus will learn that an old acquaintance of his has decided to pay a visit to New Orleans and finds himself forced to deal with his arrival.

“Days of Our Lives” actor Matt Cedeno will guest star as Cortez, a vampire from the Mikaelson’s past who pays a visit to the French quarter for revenge on Klaus and possibly on his siblings too.

Cortez is described to be as a callous, smart, and manipulative vampire who has no regard for human life. It is unknown yet if the 41-year-old actor will be appearing in future episodes of the show this season.

The network has officially released the episode’s synopsis and states that Cortez’ arrival will bring threat to the lives of innocent residents and Vincent, played by Yusuf Gateswood, has no choice but to help him take down Klaus.

The synopsis adds that Charles Michael Davis’ Marcel turns to Danielle Campbell’s Davina for help after several members of the Strix turn up missing for a yet unknown reason.

Elijah, played by Daniel Gillies, confronts Pheobe Tonkin’s Haley after learning that she’s dealing with Jackson’s death in a destructive way.

In the promo, Klaus and Cortez are seen locked in a fierce battle with the latter telling Klaus that his sire line is coming to finish him off. It is then believed that Cortez was probably sired by Klaus.

Aside from Cortez, it looks like the Original vampire has to deal with Davina Claire as the witch has a shocking surprise for him.

The Ecumenical News reports that Davina pays a furious Klaus a visit after severing his sire line through her spell. Fans would remember that last episode, Davina was able to end the Originals’ connection to all the vampires in their sires through her incantation.

Riley Voekel’s Freya was able to save Elijah in time but not Klaus who Davina hurled back to the pool so that she could continue and finish her spell on him.

Klaus knows that his enemies are now after him, gathering in New Orleans to kill him, and their presence in the city is making him extremely paranoid.

In the promo video, a very angry Klaus greets Davina by encircling her fragile neck with his hands. He then tells her that it was foolish of her to come alone, but Davina surprises him when she actually came with a very alive and powerful Kol.

Lawyer Herald notes that during last week’s episode, Davina was able to finally resurrect Kol, in his original body played by Nathaniel Buzolic. She added the blood of the Mikaelsons left from the encounter with the Strix and Kol’s ashes together for the resurrection.

Upon seeing his resurrected brother, Klaus was in total disbelief and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Elijah and Freya would have the same reaction once they see him too.

Fans of the show would remember that when Kol was first resurrected in Season 2, he entered another body in the form Daniel Sharman’s Kaleb Westphall.

The Originals Season 3

When Kol, in Kaleb’s body, succumbed to death, Davina tried to resurrect him but discovered that the ashes she had wasn’t Kol’s but was of Esther’s, the Mikaelson matriarch.

Access Hollywood has released three photos of Buzolic’s character in the latest episode. One photo shows that Kol is alongside his siblings Klaus, Elijah, and Freya.
