Episode 12 of the third season of the American supernatural drama TV series “The Originals” will air on February 12 on The CW and it promises to be another suspenseful and thrill-a-minute ride for its avid viewers.
Apparently, Klaus, played by Joseph Morgan, will be facing a mysterious adversary, who happens to possess a powerful weapon that could actually destroy the Mikaelsons as the original vampires.
Based on the trailer of episode 12 of “The Originals” titled “Dead Angels,” Klaus will battle the mysterious enemy and they will come to a tense standoff.
As the original vampires, the Mikaelsons are some sort of treasures since they are nearly impossible to kill. And also, killing them would mean that all the vampire characters in “The Vampire Diaries” will all die as well as those who came from them.
As one of the strongest vampire clans, a lot of people and vampires will do anything to destroy them and that is where the powerful weapon comes very important for the Mikaelsons because once it falls into the wrong hands, it could actually wipe out their entire clan, notes the Ecumenical News.
Reclaiming control of The Strix
Meanwhile, Elijah Mikaelson, played by Daniel Gillies, will attempt to reclaim control of The Strix in the upcoming episode and will lead to a violent showdown and the emergence of a potential new leader.
The episode shall also feature Davina, played by Danielle Campbell, being influenced by a coven of witches into helping them locate the elusive weapon. Apparently, they wanted to get their hands on the weapon and destroy the Mikaelsons too.
In addition to the Mikaelsons, Elijah also learned that Aya also knows about the powerful weapon that is capable of ending the existence of an original vampire forever. Thus, Elijah will be forced to form an alliance with Aya to help him locate the weapon.
The previous episode, titled “Wild at Heart” showed Cami beginning to live the life of a vampire similar to what Bella has undergone in the “Twilight” movie series. Although Klaus wishes to walk Cami through her transition, he also felt that he is not a good influence to do that to the girl whom he has feelings for.
Crossover episode with ‘The Vampire Diaries’
While it is still several episodes away from airing on The CW, reports are already coming out regarding the upcoming crossover episode of “The Originals” with its parent series “The Vampire Diaries” also on The CW.
The crossover episode will air on February 26, the 14th episode of Season 3 of “The Originals,” and it will feature Stefan Salvatore, played by Paul Wesley, showing up in New Orleans to rescue the Mikaelsons.
Klaus and Elijah shall reportedly end up in a magical trap with the threat of prophecy hanging over them. And one of them could end up dead based on what the witches in The Strix’s coven have planned, details Enstarz.
The Mikaelsons will get the much-needed help from Freya, Hayley, Marcel, and Stefan.
Executive producer Julie Plec disclosed why Stefan will find his way to New Orleans. She explained that the crossover episode was born out of Stefan needing a place to escape. Since he is on the run, he needs to go somewhere where magic can’t find him and New Orleans happens to be a place where magic does not work.
Despite their complicated love stories in the past, Stefan and Klaus will keep things respectful. They don’t have to be delving in the past since Stefan is now with Caroline while Klaus now has Cami to contend with.
Plec revealed that Stefan and Klaus will actually have a surprisingly civil and honest conversation about love and what it means as well as the sacrifices that they have to make for it.
