HTC One M10 Launching on April 11 to Mark the Taiwanese Tech Company’s Big Return on the Flagship Smartphone Market!

Although Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has ended last year with a bang following the launching of its expensive midrange handset, the One A9, and its premium model for Asia, the One X9, the company is determined to redeem itself in the high-end flagship handset category.

After the debacle that was the HTC One M9 which it launched last year, the Taiwanese tech company has only deemed it appropriate to make up for the misgivings of its flagship smartphone which it rolled out last year.

HTC One M9 is a great phone and it also looks good when it officially came out to the markets in April last year following its launch the month before. But what made it a let-down, particularly to many users is the fact that it offered only slight improvements compared to the company’s 2014 flagship smartphone – the HTC One M8.

Reports have it that instead of launching the HTC One M10 during the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, the company decided to push it back. Now, the company has confirmed that it would be launching the HTC One M10 on April 11 and shall take place in London.

According to the same reports, the HTC One M10 will be losing its name for another moniker. It’s not clear whether it will take on the working name of ‘Perfume’ or something entirely different, notes the GSM Arena.

HTC will supposedly stick to the One moniker while going with a different suffix than their usual number and letter combination. It could be the HTC One PleaseDon’tDissapoint for all fans and users know, notes Phandroid.

Following the design language of the One A9

The HTC One M10 shall reportedly adapt the One A9 design language and come with a 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED screen.

It shall be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with an option to use the unspecified MediaTek chipset. It shall have a generous 4GB of RAM.

It is also expected that when the smartphone comes out of the market after April 11, it will give the other flagships a run for the money.

The HTC One M9, the 2015 flagship smartphone of the Taiwanese smartphone maker, was overly criticized last year for its less-than-satisfactory improvements it made over its predecessor, the HTC One M8.

It was no different from what Samsung got from users and consumers when it released in 2014 the Galaxy S5 offering very little improvements from the Galaxy S4, resulting to three consecutive months of falling revenues for the Korean tech giant.

As much as Samsung has learned its lesson from its biggest undoing in recent years with the Galaxy S5, HTC has also picked up a neat lesson in the art of proper smartphone development.

Stepping up its game

Apparently, HTC is now stepping up its game several notches higher and its efforts will eventually come to fruition with the launching of its 2016 flagship smartphone, the HTC One M10.

Reports have it that HTC may launch the One M10 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 to be held later this month in Barcelona, Spain but there are also speculations that the Taiwanese handset maker may opt to have a launching event for the HTC One M10 a few weeks later.

HTC One M10

Since the HTC One M8 was a technical marvel and certainly more popular to users compared to the HTC One M9, the Taiwanese tech giant has decided to go back to the features of its 2014 flagship smartphone.

One of the features that could make its way back to the HTC One M10, which was ditched by the HTC One M9 last year, is the use of the UltraPixel camera.
