But instead of being cowered by the influx of superhero films, he said that they will try to keep “The Incredibles 2” focused in the area that the first film centered on, which is a little bit more about characters and relationships and stuff like that.
Bird also said that above all, they intend to have a good time while making the movie.
It will be Bird’s first animated film since “Ratatouille” shown in 2007. He has spent the last years working on movies like “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” the fourth film of the franchise, and “Tomorrowland.”
In a previous interview, Bird said that despite the booming state of superhero movies based on comic books, “The Incredibles 2” will be different from the current crop because it will have one aspect that shall make it special and that is the element of family.
In the same interview, the writer and director also said that he already has the story arc for “The Incredibles 2.” He also said that he just made a first pass through the script and that they were already boarding parts of it. He also disclosed that he has a lot of people who worked on the first movie, also working on the sequel and they are having a good time doing it at the moment.
