It looks like this show is about to undergo some serious transformations, and even though fans might be a bit disappointed from some of the turns that the story will take, it should at least prove to be an intense season with a lot to offer to those who enjoyed the first two.
It’s also indicative of the fact that the producers are strongly determined to make this production work and to get the most out of it, because it will take some effort to find the perfect balance between all plot elements correctly.
And that might require some rearranging of the different parts of the show’s configuration, something that includes the relationships between characters like Liz and Tom. It might not be a very pleasing development for all fans, but it’s also most likely a necessity.
A lot of deception is coming up in that season, according to the previews, and fans of the show who have been following it for its more dramatic elements should definitely be in for a nice treat. For everyone else, fans who were expecting a smooth-sailing season with no interruptions – this is probably not the right show to approach with that mindset. “The Blacklist” is very obviously meant to have serious, strong drama at its core and that will likely get even more prominent in season 3.
