The Model 3 features the conventional sunroof, door handles and other options including the Tesla cache and hyped industry-leading range of 200-plus miles. But since Model 3 will be smaller and lighter than Model S and Model X, the company would not need a large pack to deliver that range.
Meanwhile, Autoblog thinks that Tesla would not be launching the Model 3 in March, contrary to speculations.
While Tesla does not usually have booths at most auto shows, the local Tesla Motors Switzerland GmBh will have presence in the Geneva Motor Show this year. But based on Tesla’s history, the company has been showing off its new product offerings at its Fremont facility and not anywhere else.
The Model S and its variants, the Model X, and even the Powerwall were all shown to the public for the first time in Fremont so the outlet does not think that Tesla would make the Model 3 an exception.
It believes that Tesla’s booth in Geneva will likely be a place for the company to promote sales of the Model S and X. While the Model S did well in sales last year, the arrival of the Model 3 sometime late next year would prompt Tesla to keep its higher-end electric cars moving from dealerships to customers’ driveways.
