The game is said to focus more on 1-on-1 battles thus a new move called Power Crush lets the player continue their attack even while being hit by the enemy. The players would still receive the damage dealt by the enemy’s attack.
Tekken and Street Fighter Game in the Works
Meanwhile, there are also reports saying that a “Tekken” and “Street Fighter” game is already in the works, but its production will depend on the success of its separate sequels.
Harada expounded that the “Tekken” and “Street Fighter” collaboration title in 2012 was a great way for the two universes to mesh together. It also allowed players to see how a 3D fighting game character would work in a 2D space depending on the gameplay.
Harada adds that the collaboration title has not been canceled totally but just being put on hold. The reason for this is that Capcom just launched “Street Fighter V” and is currently putting in more work to make it more successful.
On Bandai’s end, they just launched “Tekken 7” so promoting these two franchises separately is the main priority at the moment for their players to enjoy.
Yibada reports that there are still several steps which game developers of both parties must discuss before making further decisions.
