As the sixth – and final – season of “Teen Wolf” is underway, fans have been wondering about the producers’ plans for the remaining episodes. There are many questions up in the air right now regarding what we might see by the end of the current season, and how the producers are going to handle the upcoming developments in the story.
Recent reports indicate that we’re going to see the relationship of Stiles and Lydia explored in even more detail, possibly coming to an interesting culmination towards the end of the season. It will be a difficult period for the two characters however, as Stiles will get taken away by the Ghost Rider, erasing his existence from the memory of everyone he’s known.
And since that includes Lydia, this creates an obvious issue for the two, and fans have been worried if we’re going to see them back together by the end of the season or not. According to previews about the rest of the episodes, various characters are going to regularly get small reminders about Stiles, and this could help them regain their full memories of him.
This includes Scott, Lydia and Malia, but we haven’t seen any specific reports about what kinds of reminders the characters are going to get about the existence of Stiles. It would certainly be interesting to see what the writers have come up with though, and this is actually a pretty clever way to conclude the run of the show as a whole.
It’s a great opportunity for the producers to take their fans on a trip down memory lane, reminding them of various events from the previous seasons of the show. This could actually work out quite nicely as a build-up to the final episode, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the specific memories have been picked in a careful way to evoke some responses from fans.
Meanwhile, we’re also going to see new trouble on the horizon, according to other reports. Claudia will likely interfere a lot with the team’s efforts to remember Stiles and his entire existence, and Lydia will be particularly affected by her meddling, according to previews we’ve seen so far.
The next episode is not set to air for at least two weeks, so this gives fans plenty of time to think about what they might see in it, and what the overall plans of the producers might be. This pause should spawn some interesting discussions in the community, and we’re curious to see if fans will manage to come up with ideas for the next episodes that are even more interesting than the writers’ own.
But considering the overall successful run of “Teen Wolf”, and the caring attitude the producers have shown towards the production so far, we fully expect them to go all the way with their work on the rest of season 6, and to deliver an ending that the show’s fans truly deserve.
Many people have stuck around until the end, and they do deserve to see an interesting conclusion to all that’s happened, so hopefully the producers are planning something particularly special.
We’re going to find out on January 3rd in any case. It’s not clear yet if the show’s last season will be split into two parts or if it will be one continuous run focused on a single story, but judging from fans’ discussions, it looks like most of the show’s followers would prefer to see a more focused approach for the rest of this season.
