Even though Sylvester Stallone is just 68 years old, that does not mean that there is not work for him. He is also not just going to be sitting around the last part of his life. The actor has recently been involved in the making of the Expendables movie franchise, but that is apparently not keeping him busy enough. According to an online source that posted this week, Sylvester Stallone is getting ready to hose a new fitness reality series for NBC.
His career started more than 40 years ago and the super strong and very low voiced Sylvester Stallone is still making an impact on the big screen. Now that he will have a shot at network television, Sylvester Stallone is reportedly going to be producing S.T.R.O.N.G., which is a television show that is coming from the same guy that created the popular Biggest Loser series.
David Broome has a two-year deal with Sony Pictures to bring this new reality series to NBC and it will feature six men and six woman looking to improve their fitness. They will be paired up with trainers that specialize in training for strength and conditioning only. Much like the Biggest Loser, the contestants stories will be chronicled as they move to the end of the competition as they started to get eliminated. Sylvester Stallone has been a part of the fitness community for many years and has frequently talked about how it has kept his career going all these years.
It has been almost a decade since Sylvester Stallone has done anything with television. Back then, Sylvester Stallone teamed up with reality television guru Mark Burnett to create the boxing competition series called “The Contender”. The Contender was put together in 2005 and featured Sugar Ray Leonard and was his last television stint. That same year, Sylvester Stallone inducted Hulk Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame. Sylvester Stallone has always been around the same types of television shows and movies throughout his career and they usually include a hero, which he is cast as.
Sylvester Stallone producing the show S.T.R.O.N.G. (Start to Realize Our Natural Greatness) will give the 12 contestants a look into how he gets by as an almost 70 year old in the gym. There are very few people that are going say that Sylvester Stallone does not look great for his age. Clearly if you have grown up with him, you can see the age in his eyes, but he is still one of the most popular action stars out there.
