Stallone said that the Philadelphia Eagles has always been an NFL underdog. It is normal for the team to have a slow start, but it eventually builds up a head of steam as the season progresses. He said that it is not just time for Chips ahoy yet, which is in direct contrast to current calls for the firing of the Eagles head coach, details CBS Philly.
The “Creed” actor said that it is really easy for anyone to sit there or sit back in a chair and throw all kinds of jabs at somebody, but until that someone has been in the ring himself a little bit, Kelly did not go into the NFL season to lose.
Stallone opined that Philadelphia Eagles fans have to believe that Kelly is doing his best. He should be given time to develop because it is a new time and a new era in the Philadelphia Eagles organization.
With 12 more weeks to fight it out in the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles are still technically viable contenders to win it. All they need is a complete reversal of fortune and maybe a line of players positioned in front of the quarterback whose job is to use blocking techniques and give him time to complete a play, details Philly.com.
The Eagles should consider not giving the ball so much to DeMarco Murray and they will be in the thick of the fight.
A big loss to the Eagles
Last month, Stallone also came out with a statement to say that the Philadelphia Eagles made a wrong move in the past when they cut quarterback, Tim Tebow.
Sly said that he just feels sorry for Tim Tebow for being cut by the Eagles and then left in the freezer when he was still in the peak of his career.
In an interview last month, Stallone said that he is very supportive of Tim Tebow because he feels like the very popular hunk of a quarterback is like an underdog like his Rocky Balboa character in his “Rocky” movie series.
Stallone also said that Tebow is a late bloomer, but everyone in the Philadelphia Eagles organization blew it when he got cut, adding that it was a mistake, but no one wants to own up to. 
He believes that Tim Tebow should consider coming to Hollywood and join the movies. With the support being shown by Stallone on Tim Tebow and his encouragement for the football player to consider acting for a new career, rumors have started circulating that Tebow might be considered for “The Expendables 4,” which was what Sly did to Ronda Rousey by including her in the cast of “The Expendables 3.”
Having Tim Tebow joining the ensemble cast of “The Expendables 4” would surely add on to the box-office appeal of the action franchise, which many action stars believe should be continued by Stallone.
