Supernatural Season 10 has resurrected Dean, but he is a demon now.
Supernatural Season 10 premiere episode, called ‘Black” opened with Sam (Jared Padalecki) discovering that his elder brother, Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) is alive. Dean is now a demon and has teamed up with Crowley (Mark Sheppard), who is the king of hell.
Supernatural Season 10 premiered in a happy note with Sam Winchester realizing that his brother is alive, but the episode doesn’t end on the same note. Sam is abandoned by demon Dean in Cole’s (Travis Aaron Wade) dungeon.
Cole, who is a hunter, has since long hated Dean, believing him to have killed his brother. He is now out to seek his revenge by killing Sam. Supernatural Season 10 premiere episode ended with Dean leaving behind Sam at the mercy of revenge-seeking, Cole. In spite of realizing that his brother has joined the bad guys, Sam doesn’t lose hope.
Episode 1 of Supernatural Season 10 ends with an unfazed Dean, saying that it’s not his problem that Sam will be tortured and killed. He had asked Sam to let go, but he had refused and being a man of his words, Dean had brought him to Cole.
The second episode of Supernatural Season 10 titled, “Reichenbach” shows that the ‘Deanmon’ might have some hope left as he rescues Sam by killing Cole. Sam sees this as a sign that he could be able to get his brother back from the hellish side. However, as shown in the trailer, Dean doesn’t grind words when he says that he is trying his best to stop himself from ripping off Sam’s throat. So much for brotherly affection!
Dean thinks that his desire to kill is a demon trait, and he loves his demon self – girls and booze! Crowley knows that there is more to Dean’s aggressiveness. He believes it has everything to do with feeding the Mark of Cain. Executive Producer, Jeremy Carver says that season 10 is very important for the characters. The season is dark, and each character needs to figure out certain things, which will decide how their future pans out.
While Dean is under the influence of Crowley, Castiel (Misha Collins) is slowly losing his grace and becoming weak. In a desperate bid to help him, Hannah (Erica Carroll) asks Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) for help. Metatron likes Castiel and would have helped, but unlike others, Castiel would never pay him the respect he desires, and this irritates him.
