Season 7 premier of USA Network’s hit TV show Suits will air on July 12 at 9 p.m. ET. This season will also include the series 100th episode (directed by Patrick J. Adams) which will likely hit the screens on August 30.
The first footage for this season has been released by the network as well. Fans are happy to see that the dream team aka Harvey Spectre (Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) are back together this year with new cases and challenges. Mike Ross is now a legitimate lawyer for the first time since the story began.
The teaser also shows other members of the cast including Mike’s fiancé Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) and Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty).
The creator of the show, Aaron Korsh, told EW that, “It just felt like it was time to get the band together and see what happens from there.”
Fans had been worried that Meghan Markle would be leaving the show ever since she started dating Prince Harry. There were rumors going around that she would depart the show since her relationship was getting serious. However, it has been said that she does not plan on walking out of the show anytime soon.
Her character, Rachel, is officially an attorney on the show and will be working in the same office and in the same position as her fiancé. This might create friction in their relationship as they will struggle to make time for each other.
Adams said in an interview, “There’s no doubt that they’re the person for each other. But that thing when you’re in the middle of your career and you’re working that hard, it’s hard to take a step back from that and also invest in your personal life, your family and what are you going to build.”
Mike has had quite a controversial past after being sent to jail for fraud. However, Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) helped him get a law degree which will change quite a few things in this season.
As for Harvey, he will be taking the place of managing partner of the firm that previously belonged to Jessica. However, it is rumored that Jessica will pay a visit to the show sometime this season.
In season 6, Louis Litt’ girlfriend Tara Messer (Carly Pope) left him after he told her he knew about Mike and his fraud. We also saw Donna Paulsen trying to fight her way to the top.
The storyline of season 7 has not yet been revealed but it is expected that it will include both Harvey and Mike working together like old times. In fact, the teaser includes a few 
scenes of their bond when Mike joined the company in earlier seasons.
Another promo of the season shows Harvey telling Mike, “I appreciate it. Thanks, Robin.” Mike can be seen replying with, “You’re welcome, Batman.”
