Back in the day, the Suicide Squad was also known as the Task Force X. In modern times, the Suicide Squad is an antihero team that is made up from supervillains that happen to be on death row. These bad guys are acting as contractors for the United States Government and are usually involved in high risk missions.
Those that go ahead with these missions are given a commuted sentence, at least that is what they are told before they begin. For the most part, the Suicide Squad is operated like a secret “prison work-release” program. The television show is coming up and the movie is set to follow.
Actors that are cast in the movie include Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Scott Eastwood, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara and Cara Delevingne. The feature film is not expected in theaters until later on this year.
