‘Subway Surfers’ World Tour Updates Place the Game in a New City Every Month!

Players of the endless running mobile game “Subway Surfers” would be happy to know that they will be running on a different city every month with the World Tour updates to one of the most popular video games in the market today.

Indicative of the popularity of “Subway Surfers,” since it was launched on May 24, 2012, the mobile game app has been downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store and the Google Play Store as well as Kindle and the Windows Phone platform for over 800 million times, cites the Kiloo website.

Kiloo is a private company based in Denmark and is the game developer of “Subway Surfers” along with SYBO Games. Kiloo is part of the Borneo A/S group along with Manatee, Baboon, and Giving Tales, companies that are dedicated to delivering the highest quality work at every front in the mobile industry.

The company was established in 2000, but it was only in 2012 when it finally made a name for itself in the mobile gaming market with “Subway Surfers.” Kiloo has a complement of only 100 employees, which says a lot about how dedicated to their craft everyone is.

Youthful hooligans

Players of the game take on the role of youthful, albeit mischievous, hooligans, who upon being caught in the act of applying graffiti to a metro railway site, run down the tracks to escape the inspector and his dog.

As the character hooligans run, he or she grabs gold coins out of the air while simultaneously dodging collisions with railway cars, ducking or jumping over other objects and obstacles as he or she runs.

The player also encounters special objects such as the Weekly Hunt that can result into an award or special prize in the game.

There are also several items that the runner can pick up along the way, which can boost his strength or double the rate of the coins. There is the special jumping shoes, the skateboard which would make him invincible even to a collision, among many others.

The object of “Subway Surfers” is to collect coins and other rewards while running through an endless game world. The runner will have to contend with trains and other obstacles by performing well-timed jumps, rolls, and sideway moves.

Occasionally, the runner surf on boards, soar over train tracks, and even run along overhead wires. Special missions reward players with bonuses for accomplishing specific tasks. The game ends when the runner or surfer stumbles and is apprehended by the inspector and his dog or crashes directly onto trains or other obstacles.

Latest update

Kiloo and SYBO just released the latest update to “Subway Surfers” on September 9 which it calls as Version 1.44.1, details the Apple iTunes store.

The update has a 94.7 MB file size, and more than anything else, it actually placed the game in New York City and its train tracks.

“Subway Surfers” is playable on any Apple iOS device, whether they be iPads, iPhones, or iPod Touch, provided that they are running on iOS 6.0 or later.

The game has plenty of running characters and the most common of them are Jake, Tricky, among a host of others. New characters are also added once gamers reach certain milestones in the game.

Kiloo and SYBO Games actually present the most daring chase in colorful and vivid HD graphics for the coolest crew with the fanciest swipe acrobatics, surfing hoverboards, and paint-powered jetpacks.
