And of course, there’s also a lot of discussion about the monetization model that the game will follow. EA have been taking some questionable approaches with the “Battlefield” franchise lately, and it’s not clear how they plan to monetize the new “Star Wars”, but hopefully they aren’t going to take a greedy approach and will allow players to enjoy a lot of content with the base game.
So far, the company hasn’t really revealed what their plans are in this regard, but we can assume that there will be at least several major expansions for the game if it proves popular, though we have no idea about their possible price points.
We also don’t know what exactly EA are planning to sell with those expansions either, and it’s possible that they’re looking at selling additional content other than just maps. There have been rumors about new vehicles and weapons coming as expansion packs, but it’s probably too early to consider those possibilities right now, and instead gamers should focus on the release of the main game itself.
