He added that the movie will exude a John Hughes-vibe and is not necessarily a small scale, contrary to rumors that have been going around about the film. However, Feige confirmed that the “Spider-Man” reboot is going to be a Peter Parker story and shall focus on the story of a 15-year-old kid going to high school.
Over the past 14 years, there have been five movies and two franchises for “Spider-Man,” all under the stable of Sony Pictures.
The first one was the “Spider-Man” franchise that starred Tobey Maguire while the second film series is “The Amazing Spider-Man” featuring Andrew Garfield.
Both series showed how Peter Parker got his powers when he was bitten by a spider, although the spider in “The Amazing Spider-Man” is a little more powerful compared to the one in “Spider-Man” because it came from a lab experiment.
Apparently, the “Spider-Man” reboot of Marvel will no longer show how Peter Parker will get his powers but proceed straight to the alter ego of the superhero being in high school and has been a web-slinger for about two years already. It appears that when Spider-Man appears in “Captain America: Civil War” next year, Peter Parker would have been donning the Spidey suit for about a year already.
