Zach Appleman’s Joe Corbin is set to be monstrous on the next episode of “Sleepy Hollow.” The 30-year-old actor will again showcase his character’s Wendigo alter-ego in the upcoming 14th episode.
According to the episode’s synopsis, Nicole Beharie’s Abbie and Jessica Camacho’s Sophie will come face-to-face with a monster as they participate in FBI’s teambuilding day.
Unfortunately, this monster will probably blow their cover to their boss Daniel Reynolds, played by Lance Gross.
Episode 14, entitled “Into the Wild” will also see Lyndie Greenwood’s Jenny and Joe coming across something precious during an auction – the part of Pandora’s box. The episode will air on March 11.
Design & Trend reports that the pair will acquire a piece of Pandora’s box but the duo will be located by Shannyn Sossamon’s Pandora who will transform Joe into his true form of being a native American monster — a Wendigo.
His Wendigo personality was first seen during an episode of Season 2. Abbie and Tom Mison’s Ichabod Crane asked help from Shaman in order to help Joe get separated from his demon persona.
Meanwhile, Crane discovers that the symbol Abbie is fascinated with may be more important than he thinks it is.
It’s very obvious that the symbol has a strong hold on Abbie and reports say that Ichabod will be the one to figure out how the symbol play a part in Abbie’s life.
Along with a preview clip, the network also released several stills from the episode. One photo shows Abbie fighting off the Wendigo and another photo shows Sophie and Abbie planning how to take him out.
Ichabod is also seen venturing into the woods possibly finding out more about Abbie’s relationship to the Hidden One symbol.
A photo of the Wendigo has also been released and it’s safe to say that the creature falls nowhere to being pleasant for the eyes to see.
During the recent episode, Mills admitted to Ichabod that she has been obsessed by the Hidden One symbol she encountered during her time in the Catacombs.
It was revealed through a video recording they watched through a phonograph that the Hidden One has been cast down into the catacombs to guard Pandora’s box.
It was also revealed that there exists an hourglass that holds the power of the Gods who live in the light. Pandora, along with her followers, used the box to kill the Gods.
The two also go up against the Jersey Devil which turns out to be a man who had turned himself into the devil using alchemy.
Meanwhile, things are not looking good for the Fox supernatural drama as a Season 4 renewal might not come at all.
The second half of the season kicked off with an interesting plot. Unfortunately, it still wasn’t able to improve the show’s ratings.
Reports say that the first half of the season didn’t manage to improve the show’s ratings as well.
TV Line reports that the recent episode garnered only three million viewers with a 0.7 rating despite the backstory of Pandora and the Hidden One being unveiled. This viewership has matched the show’s lowest rating to date.
Zap2it reports that its competing shows CBS’s “Amazing Race” and ABC’s “Last Man Standing” did a much better job at getting an audience as both shows boasted more than five million viewers.
Although it’s a given fact that programs aired on a Friday timeslot really struggle to maintain ratings, it is also worth noting that Fox network has the second lowest average on Friday, beating only The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” and its spin-off “The Originals.”
Fox has not yet given word if the show will be axed or fans will get to see another season of Abbie and Ichabod. The Fox series has done a massive revamp to increase the ratings this season.

The reasons that the ratings went down was due in part to the of lack of promotion by FOX. They have done nothing to promote this show. If it were not for the fan base of the show, most people would not know that it had gotten renewed. Then they moved it to Thursday nights (huge mistake) yet the ratings stayed stable. Then they go on break and inform the viewers that they are moving the show to Fridays at 8pm. So for season 3 we had no promotion, a move from Mondays at 9pm to Thursdays at 9pm (up against Scandal & The Blacklist) then when that didn’t work as well as TPTB thought they up and move the show again to Friday nights at 8pm, again without any promotion by FOX. The fact that the ratings have stayed the same for live viewing says something. However when you factor in the +7 viewing (DVR, Hulu & OnDemand) the show actually increases considerably and has all season long. So while the live numbers might not be there the +7 numbers when factored in are. So people are watching the show just not live. What that means for FOX who last year said they were going away from using the Nielsen model for deciding whether a series is renewed or cancelled bodes well in Sleepy Hollows favor.
