Sister Wives is a reality show on TLC that started in 2010, and soon will be starting its sixth season. The show documents the life of polygamist family headed by Kody Brown and his four wives, together they have 17 children. The first season ran in September and October 2010 and brought strong ratings, since then, the show has been renewed five more times. If you have seen the show than you might know what to expect, according to sources online, Kody and Robyn Brown’s marriage will take center stage this season.
The divorce between Kody and Meri will also be highlighted during the sixth season. Meri exclaimed in an interview that divorcing Kody was kind of scary, but mostly because she wasn’t sure she would be able to adopt the children. According to at least one source online, Mary decided to divorce Kody in order to make room for Robyn’s children from a previous marriage to be legally adopted. As you can imagine Robyn is happy with Mary’s decision, and claims that Meri loves her children so much she will give up her marriage for them.
Shortly after the family’s decision to adopt children from her previous marriage, Robyn has been getting hateful messages via twitter. Fans were not happy, and she wanted to answer questions via twitter and said that she would only do so if questions were asked, without hate it and without cruelty. So the fifth season of Sister Wives was shortened to eight episodes and now fans of the show are excited for the sixth season, which is supposed to begin this coming fall.
The fifth season brought plenty of challenges for the entire family, including struggles with the children, their money, their jobs and what they’re going to do for the future. According to sources, the Browns have won a lawsuit in their favor, stating that criminalization of polygamy is discriminatory. Even though Meri and Kody are no longer legal spouses. They are still bound in a spiritual marriage. Robyn is the fourth wife and the newest to the family. Bringing along her three children from a previous marriage seems to be the center of attention coming up in Sister Wives Season 6.
The show has gained plenty of national media attention with reviews from papers like the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times. In the family’s defense, it does seem that their bond is stronger than that of most marriages that you will find anywhere else in the country. The Sister Wives Season 6 is supposed to begin this fall, according to sources.
I think the only way Robyn could possibly show how greatful she feels would be to reciprecate this awesome gesture by doing the same thing for Meri and divorce Cody after all the legal adoption procedures are accomplished. That should not be an issue at all unless Robyn just wants this legal marriage so badly. It should be as simple as Meri’s divorce – a done deal. Cody should be on board with this, for sure. After all, didn’t he say “it’s just procedural” So just another procedure, right? Robyn, are you going to step up and do the right thing when the time comes?
