When is the new season going to be ready anyway? We can’t say for sure right now, but the most prominent rumors claim that it won’t be ready until at least 2017. The production is apparently going to be spread throughout 2016, so that leaves little hope for a release during the year.
Of course, the producers might decide to surprise us with a launch towards the end of 2016, but if that’s planned we should hear about it at some point during the year and not in the last moment.
In other words, if “Sherlock” really is coming back for its fourth season during 2016, rumors of that should be quite prevalent around the beginning of the year and especially during the middle.
But from everything we’ve heard so far, it doesn’t look like the producers are in any rush to get the new episodes out by the end of 2016. This show has been following a relatively slow development pace in general, so that’s not really all that surprising, but hopefully the producers aren’t going to take too long to get the episodes ready. After all, they can only maintain their fans’ interest so high through rumors and vague claims for so long before attention towards season 4 starts fading out.
