Kiera’s exploits
Season 4 of “Continuum” will focus on the exploits of Kiera Cameron as she travels through time from 2077 to 2012 with a group of terrorists and works on finding her way back home.
While Barry previously disclosed that he is looking at seven to 10 seasons to complete the entire story of “Continuum,” Showtime did not buy his reasoning, apparently because of the not-so-favorable results of TV ratings during the past two seasons of the series.
While there has been no detail as far as the sub-plot of Season 4 of “Continuum” is concerned, the good news is that fans are already looking forward to its official airing in July.
This was very clear from the fan comments on the show’s Facebook page saying that they can’t wait to see how Kiera fulfills her role in the TV series that comes with the subplot of ‘the end is just the beginning.’
As “Continuum” dwells primarily on time travel, a fan art of the series even showed that the series is similar in plotline to the “Back to the Future” movie series back in the early 80s starring Michael J. Fox. But instead of having the word ‘Future’ on the concept art, it was “Continuum.” In addition to Kiera Cameron, Erik Knudsen, who plays the role of Alec Sadler, and another male star were included in the art.
The Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy and Horror Films bestowed four prestigious nominations to “Continuum” including Best Syndicated / Cable Television Series, a Best Actress in a TV series for Rachel Nichols, Best Supporting Actor in a TV series for Erik Knudsen, and Best Supporting Actress in a TV series for Lexa Doig.
Several fans have also expressed dismay to Showcase for writing off “Continuum” at the end of Season 4. One fan said that he finds it really a shame that the series has to end rather abruptly. The fan added that there is already a dearth of quality science fiction shows on TV and believes that they can’t afford to lose another one.
