‘Scandal’ Season 5 Lead Star Kerry Washington Admits to Being Kept in the Dark on the Show’s Major Plot Twists!

Another character who fans would want to see more is White House Press Secretary Abigail ‘Abby” Whelan, played by Darby Stanchfield. She has been struggling to stay afloat with all the shenanigans going on in the White House. She was due to receive an unexpected guidance from a master of damage control come episode 2.

During the final scene of the premiere episode of Season 5 of “Scandal,” Captain Jake Ballard, played by Scott Foley, and Diego ‘Huck’ Munoz, played by Guillermo Diaz, was shown talking about teaming up.

Jake, as every fan of the popular show knows, is a former B613 agent who decided to let Olivia be with Fitz even after he professed his love for her.

Critics hope that Jake and Huck will come together to form their own crisis management team that can help fix the scandals at Washington D.C. the way Olivia does. Whatever the two troubled men will decide, it is certainly going to be dramatic for “Scandal” in its current season.

There were even insinuations that Olivia Pope may get a crack at the Adnan Syed case, who could be portrayed by the likes of Dev Patel. If “Serial” gave listeners one of the most engrossing unsolved cases of the 21st century, it would be an exciting thing if the same comes to the small screen via “Scandal.”
