There has been no report yet of the cast of characters or possible plotline for “Saw 8” but it is likely that Tobin Bell would return to reprise his role as John Kramer also known in the franchise as Jigsaw.
Famous horror director James Wan, who happened to have helmed a few films in the “Fast and the Furious” movie franchise, was actually the one who started the “Saw” franchise.
Those who have followed the film series know that Jigsaw officially died in “Saw III” but numerous characters and copycats have taken up his legacy in the sequels.
But he appeared in all seven films either alive or through flashbacks, and it is possible that he will be coming back via a camera footage or flashbacks for the new movie.
It is possible that given the title of the movie that Tobin Bell shall no longer be there as John Kramer as the new Jigsaw might be his protégé or son perhaps.
Some fans and critics are also speculating that “Saw: Legacy” may already be a soft reboot of the original franchise.
By reboot, it means that it would be a film which acknowledges the previous films but is now set with a different antagonist, different cast, and new story that is not tied down to the older franchise.
