What’s even more exciting for consumers is the fact that the Samsung Gear S2 is being retailed for $300 which is a pretty good bargain compared to most other Android Wear smartwatches out in the market today.
The Gear S2 is also compatible with any Android phone running Android 4.4 KitKat or up, even if the smartphone is not made by Samsung.
According to another tech reviewer, the Samsung Gear S2 is the first smartwatch he tried that is functional enough to make him purchase and bring the smartwatch and his wrist into the future.
The Samsung Gear S2 comes in two design options. There is the Classic model which comes with a black bezel and black leather band. There is also the sportier base versions, which comes with either a dark gray stainless-steel bezel and black rubberized band, or a silver stainless steel bezel with a white band.
The smartwatch has a 1.2-inch 360 x 360-pixel Super AMOLED screen, which is a bit smaller than much of the competition. But since a user has to interact less with the actual display, the feature becomes a total non-issue.
In terms of display sharpness, the Samsung Gear S2 is right up there with the best smartwatches that are available in the market today.
