Samsung Galaxy S4 Right Size and Functionality Make Some Users Still Contented with the Smartphone!

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is now more than three years old but it is one of the smartphones that has maintained a throng of loyal users, who have no plans of giving up their device anytime soon in lieu of newer ones.

One user cited that he has had the smartphone for a few years already and he likes it because of its right size and superb functionality, citing that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is perfect for a hard working man like himself, as posted on the Samsung website.

The user also loves being able to change batteries and memory size with the Samsung Galaxy S4, which was not possible with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the smartphones released by the Korean tech giant last year.

However, the newer Samsung Galaxy S7 already features removable batteries and a microSD card slot, which is short of an admission from the Korean handset maker that it erred in the design of the Galaxy S6.

Another user also lauded the Galaxy S4 for being a true workhorse for his business and personal life. He explained that the 2013 flagship smartphone of Samsung has helped him keep track of texts and e-mails while allowing him to receive calls.

He went on to say that the scope and breadth of apps are also a great help in staying current. The user likewise praised the fitness tracker in the device that helped him lose weight and compete with friends on who had the most number of paces made in a given day, week, or month.

He also said that the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S4 has provided him an option of giving customers a high-quality visual image of the project he performs.

Top choice for a big-screen smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy S4 came out with the Android 4.2.2 KitKat mobile operating system. Although its laundry list of features require time and effort to truly master for some users, particularly the naïve ones, the Galaxy S4 is actually the top choice for anyone looking for a big-screen smartphone, cites C/Net.

It is powered by a quad-core processor and features software solutions for every scenario including working as a TV/DVR remote control.

Given its size, the Galaxy S4 is also very comfortable to hold. It also has near-field communications (NFC) which would make it ideal for use for Samsung Pay and also Google Pay.

As far as the downsides of the Galaxy S4 go, its plastic design certainly gives it a cheaper look than its rivals that exude metal unibodies. Its power button also turns on at undesirable times. Its camera modes also do not work as hyped and it has a long list of software features that can quickly overwhelm and confuse the users.

Still commands a high price

For a three-year-old flagship smartphone, a price-range of $150 to $300 would be fair enough considering the influx of great flagship handsets as of late.

Surprisingly, the 2013 flagship smartphone of Samsung, the Galaxy S4, still commands a price of up to $700 up to this day. The cost of the top variant Galaxy S4 is surprising since the base variants of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S7 approximately cost the same.

But it is just one model and it is being retailed at $699.99 by AT&T for the 16GB White Frost variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4. It is not clear if the amount is just for the unit only or it already covers subscription over a certain period but the price is still remarkably high.

The more familiar Galaxy S4 i9500 16GB model, which is normally a factory-unlocked international variant comes at a price of $300.31 for its white model and $287.97 for the black color version.
