It seems that sportsmen the world over dig Rihanna as a music performer. But a few them actually go the extra mile of attempting to court the “Umbrella” singer just like Formula One car racer Lewis Hamilton did a few months ago.
The Rihanna – Lewis Hamilton affair hardly materialized the way the Rihanna – Leonardo DiCaprio tryst was reported previously. Reports now have it that the Barbados-born singer still entertains the possibility of her and former beau Chris Brown getting back together again someday.
But Rihanna should be happy to know that Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese football sensation now playing for Real Madrid in the Spanish Premiere League, is actually an ardent fan of hers and her music.
Perhaps not the kind of ardent fan who would like to date her someday as Ronaldo is relatively fresh from a high-profile breakup with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk. But someone who likes her songs a lot, he actually knows the lyrics and deliver the songs with Rihanna-like facial expressions.
In fact, Ronaldo was caught on video singing Rihanna’s hit “Stay” while he and his teammates were onboard an airplane to travel to a game.
The world’s No. 1 football player is seen in the footage throwing himself into the song, complete with exaggerated hand gestures and intense facial expressions. He was also seen saying ad-libs in between by saying something like ‘this part is cool’ before belting the tune, details the Mirror of UK.
Because of his great delivery, the way he does in the soccer field, Ronaldo receives a standing ovation from his teammates, who were quite impressed with his singing prowess.
Incidentally, the same clip already forms part of a trailer for the upcoming new documentary on the football sensation titled “Ronaldo.”

Meanwhile, Keith ‘Bang Bang’ McCurdy, known as the most famous tattoo artist in the world, talked about how he put a gun tattoo in Rihanna some years back.
McCurdy is actually known as the tattoo artist to the most famous in the world and Rihanna is just one of the many celebrity artists whom he put a tattoo on. The list actually includes Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, LeBron James, and many more.
The tattoo artist said that he almost put Rihanna’s gun tattoo under her collarbone just above her front shoulder. He added that he almost did two of them too, but they only did one gun on her rib cage, details Vogue.
He said that he opted for the rib cage area because he does not want the tattoo to take so much away from Rihanna’s pretty face. McCurdy said that it was also the reason why the tattoos all around her face, neck, collar, and shoulder are done without black ink for people to see her instead of her tattoos.
McCurdy said that it was actually his work on Rihanna that his name as a great tattoo artist was spread around. He started receiving calls from CNN, MTV, and other media outlets.
As his business was essentially a word-of-mouth thing, he got the press that he deserved and shortly thereafter, stars and celebrities came running down on his doorsteps.
Looking forward to a happy ending
While Rihanna is single at the moment, some of her common friends with Chris Brown are still optimistic that she might eventually end up with the rapper someday.
One of those who still nurture hopes of a Chris Brown-Rihanna happy ending is rapper Tyga, who is the boyfriend of 18-year-old Kylie Jenner of the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” fame.
As a close friend to Chris Brown, Tyga expressed his thoughts that his buddy should focus on settling down with Rihanna without messing around.
Tyga said in an interview that when he wakes up every day, he is thankful that he has Kylie with him. He said that gone are the days when he was like banging everything he sees when he is on tour. He said that he loves his home life and also being a one-woman man because Kylie loves him unconditionally too.
