Resident Evil Origins Collection Coming Early Next Year, Possibly Bringing Some Surprises!

Fans of the “Resident Evil” franchise have been waiting for the rumored “Resident Evil Origins Collection” for quite some time now, and even though we didn’t have any serious official information until now, recent reports are starting to paint a very good picture for this game. Many people have been itching to dive back into the classic old world of the original games that started this franchise, and it looks like their pleas will soon be answered.

The special collection will include the “Resident Evil 0 HD” remaster of the original game, and that’s the main point of attraction for many fans. And while the new game will cost $39.99 on both platforms that it’s releasing for – the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – those who want to just get “Resident Evil 0” by itself will be able to get it for $19.99 on both those platforms as well as their last-gen counterparts.

It won’t be just a simple remake though – players will get a chance to play as the main villain of the game, Albert Wesker, in an all-new game mode designed to give old school fans a completely new and refreshing experience. The game will also be playable with two separate characters, and Wesker will have his own unique ally for this mode, so players won’t have to worry about having to complete the game all alone if they choose to use him specifically.

When is the “Resident Evil Origins Collection” arriving to the market? Currently it’s scheduled for a release on January 19, and all games related to the collection should come out at the same time. This includes their versions for last-gen platforms, so fans shouldn’t have to worry about having to wait longer if they want to experience the titles on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

Of course, we expect that there will be some minor differences in the gameplay and/or presentation of the game between the previous platforms and current ones, so players should prepare to do some careful comparing of features online before they jump into the version that they feel is right for them.

But in the end, this will be an amazing experience for pretty much everyone – both those who’ve played the original game and want to relive that experience, as well as players who’re just getting started with the franchise and want an opportunity to see where its roots are, without having to endure the clunky control scheme of the first games and their low definition graphics.

The controls are actually the main feature that players seem to have a problem with, as it’s true that the first “Resident Evil” games came out at a time when companies were still trying to figure out what kinds of controls work best, and as a result players had to adapt to some rather unintuitive schemes that took a while to get used to. After all, these games were meant to be about the story and atmosphere and some people didn’t even pay so much attention to their controls in the first place

But it’s also true that a player can easily immerse themselves more if the game actually works right and offers a good way to manipulate the character’s actions, so it’s good to see that the developers have been reconsidering that specific element of its design and have been releasing improved versions of the classic control scheme.
