Resident Evil 7: Gameplay Expected to Change Heavily, Improvements and Ideas to be Inculcated, as Declared by Michiteru Okabe!

Resident Evil 7 was announced a few months back for the public and since then the internet has gone crazy for various spoilers and leaks regarding this game. People are certainly clamoring to find out more about this game and know about its features, storyline, gameplay settings and characters.

In order to ease the minds of troubled gamers, Capcom has recently made public statements regarding this title. The developers have announced that this upcoming game will not feature the traditional and potentially outdated ‘horror survival’ setting anymore. Instead, it seems that the developers are more focused on taking a completely different direction hereon.

The recent releases in the Resident Evil series have been the revamped editions of the earlier released titles. However, the developers are currently indicating that with Resident Evil 7, gamers will be experiencing a whole new gameplay setting. The game seems to be going on a totally different direction with Resident Evil Revelations showcasing its horror aspect. Producer Michiteru Okabe commented on this upcoming title.

He declared that the developers are aware of the fans and gamers wanting ‘Horror’ Survival to be the core gameplay setting for all Resident Evil titles. He made deep remarks regarding the need to take a serious look at what brands the Resident Evil series as a ‘Horror Survival’ genre.

He raised a lot of questions regarding how resource management was directly proportional to its Horror-survival nature and the principal reason behind it. It seemed that he wanted answers regarding how different changing elements were significant to the storyline of this series. He wished to know how to incorporate that with the use and application of modern technology.

He revealed in September that Capcom wishes to experiment with the core nature of Resident Evil 7 and wishes to draw the survival-horror aspects from the earlier released titles. He declared that with the big-numbered titles like Resident Evil 7, the developers want to make a few big changes. They wish to incorporate bold new ideas and features into the upcoming title. They wish to work with a lot of new ideas and then figure out what sticks.

According to various speculations and comments from the developers, it seems that they are majorly experimenting with the core nature of this game. They wish to stray away from the chosen path and go for something new and refreshing. Although it sounds quite good, the entire concept certainly makes no business sense.

Furthermore, Resident Evil 7 will launch before the middle of 2016. It has been indicated that the game will only launch for the next-gen consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It will not release on the older consoles like Xbox 360 and PS3.
