Recently-Concluded Season 3 is ‘Vikings’ Best Season to Date

Series finale and spoiler

The 10th and final episode of Season 10, also known as series finale, had the French stand by their promise and pay gold and silver to the Vikings even as the raiding party has expressed interest in returning home to their respective families.

Also serving as highlight for the series finale of Season 3, is the announcement of Ragnar’s christening. Ragnar also died in the series finale even as Bjorn is left in charge after Ragnar’s demise.

The Viking warriors subsequently placed Ragnar’s corpse into a wooden coffin and escort it to the gates of Paris, where they meet the bishop. Ragnar’s coffin is then brought inside the Cathedral for its final blessing but Ragnar suddenly jumps out of the coffin very much alive.

Ragnar takes Princess Gisla as a hostage and he then forces the guards to open the gates, allowing his fellow Vikings to raid and pillage the city.

Meanwhile over in Paris, King Charles the Third is determined to gain the favor of the northerners, offering Rollo lands and titles and his daughter in marriage. As he was sailing home, Ragnar tells Floki that he knows he is an Athelstan’s killer.
