‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6 Special Episode to Air Next Month Before Second Half of TV Series Returns on January 12!

The first half of Season 6 of the American teen drama mystery-thriller TV series “Pretty Little Liars” on ABC Family is over as of August and fans are now enthusiastically waiting for the second half with bated breath. They surely want to know what’s in store for the four main protagonists – Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Hanna – as they return to Rosewood five years later.

As previously reported Season 6B of “Pretty Little Liars” will feature a five-year time jump from the Season 6A finale where they discovered that ‘A’ was actually CeCe Drake, who is a transgender and was formerly Charles DiLaurentis.

In order to cushion the impact of the long wait on the second half of “Pretty Little Liars,” a Season 6 special episode will be aired on November 24 before Season 6B officially premieres on January 12, notes the International Business Times of UK.

Most of the teasers provided by the showrunner and the cast members were about Season 6B and not much on the special episode so it could be an update on the goings on in the life of the four girls as they head off to college following the incidents of the summer finale.

A new villain more dangerous than ‘A’

The five-year time jump at the opening of Season 6B will show the girls who are now successful in their respective professions.

Show creator Marlene King recently teased that Season 6B will feature a new villain who will be more dangerous than ‘A” and the big bad will again be making the lives of the girls miserable.

Accordingly, Season 6B will start off with a reunion prepared by Alison, which instead of being a party, will only trigger another series of mysteries that will torment the Liars.

King would not divulge the new big bad on “Pretty Little Liars” whether it would be a he or a she, but the latest antagonist will have his or her own grudge against the girls. The showrunner hinted at the New York ComicCon last month that the big bad could be a he initially although no one is really pretty sure, after pulling off that transgender surprise during the Season 6A finale.

She added however that unlike ‘A,” the new big bad is more lethal as he or she is not playing a game. Apparently, he or she has an agenda and he or she will not stop at anything before that agenda is taken care of.

The girls’ respective love life

Alison, played by Sasha Pieterse, will be married come Season 6B to Dr. Rollins, and they will have a normal and healthy love story.

Emily, played by Shay Mitchell, will still be single when she returns to Rosewood. While she and Alison never made it as a couple, the actress maintains that Emily and Alison will always have a special love for each other, details Melty.

Hanna, played by Ashley Benson, will already be engaged come Season 6B, but it is not clear to whom will that be, although fans are hoping that it should be Caleb.

pretty little liars

Aria, played by Lucy Hale,  will already be working as a publisher and is in charge of publishing novels written by her ex-boyfriend Ezra. She will reportedly be in a relationship with someone other than Ezra. But there is a possibility that they will be pulled into each other again as they are each other’s first love so there are genuine feelings involved.

Spencer, played by Troian Bellisario, will still be single and ready to mingle come Season 6B as she will be too focused on her political career and will have no time for a boyfriend. Although there are hints that Spencer may change all her perspective once she sees her first love Toby when she returns to Rosewood.
