Pokemon GO Getting a Major Update Soon, Developers Expand Nearby Tracking Availability!

In fact, the company used their work on a previous similar game – “Ingress” – as a foundation for the systems in “Pokemon GO”, and it took them years to collect the data from “Ingress”. It’s clear that they have an advantageous position on the market, but even that won’t save them if they don’t pick up the pace sometime soon.

Fans have been displeased with the slow development pace on the game for a while now, and things can only get worse if Niantic don’t start adding features in larger numbers and more quickly. The recent addition of the nearby tracker was a good move, but fans clearly want even more.

The Halloween event was fun, according to many, and the game could probably benefit from more similar events to keep its players happy.

At the same time, many felt like there was too little content actually offered during the Halloween event, so if Niantic are planning another special holiday celebration, they should probably plan it more properly this time.

In the end though, the company took on a very challenging project which was guaranteed to have some difficulties in store for them. All things considered, they’ve actually handled the task remarkably well, and few other studios can claim that they’ve managed to draw in so many players for relatively so little effort invested in a single title.
