For years, Xbox One had a similar functionality, and we are happy to see that Sony is finally catching up to that. As a gamer, if you own a PSVR, the expensive headset will become somewhat more useful. With the 4.50 firmware installed, people will be able to watch stereoscopic video from 3D Blu-Rays inside their helmet itself.
The 3D market is pretty dead now; this could be the last hope for fans of that tech. If you are a social networking fan, you will be able to post images, text and animated gifs directly to the PSN activity feed. You better prepare yourself for some dank/not so dank memes and get used to the “Block this user” button. Moreover, the interface is improving as well.
You can start using custom wallpapers from the main menu, and you will no longer be locked to the most dismal themes which are available on the PlayStation Store. The quick menu and notification list are getting tweaked again, following the great 4.0 update. One can hope that they will spend less time in the main menus to find what they are looking for.
