PlayStation 4 Pro Getting a Lukewarm Reception from Gamers, New Gaming Console Has a Lot of Catching Up to Do with the PS4!

Microsoft does not seem much perturbed with the fact that PS4 outsold Xbox One in the month of December 2016. It plans to launch the Xbox Scorpio this year, which is an upgrade of the Xbox One but with more power under its hood.

Sony has not given an official statement so far about its plans for 2017, but PlayStation users can expect new updates or launches in 2017 for the PS4 Pro.

In May last year, Sony issued a press release to announce that the PS4 has reached a new milestone by recording 40 million units sold. That means the company moved 5 million consoles in less than five months since the tally was 35 million back in January last year.

Andrew House, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said that they are truly grateful for the enormous support from their fans and partners across the globe, which helped them achieve the significant milestone in such a short span of time, notes BGR.

He explained that they will strive to deliver even more exciting gaming experiences to their users, further driving the momentum and accelerating the expansion of the PS4 platform and its business by offering an unparalleled line-up of games, bringing their virtual reality system, PlayStation VR, to market and providing ground-breaking features and network services.
