This may or may not work out in the end though, and we would certainly be curious to see if it catches on and spreads to other leagues, or if it stays a “feature” exclusive to La Liga. It’s possible that it might not show any success and get cancelled in the future, but it’s still an idea worth trying out in any case.
Some fans have been joking that the next logical step in the evolution of football ads would be to tattoo players themselves, and while this may sound like a joke, temporary tattoos could certainly have an interesting effect on the appearance of the average player.
Still, it wouldn’t be a pleasant sight to see players turning into running billboards, so marketing companies should hopefully know the limits of what’s appropriate in these ideas. So far, this particular idea has been showing great potential though, so it’s not something they should probably give up on anytime soon. Right now, we can just wait and see how it plays out in the long run.
