That’s one of the good parts of being a fan of a TV show nowadays when we have the Internet playing such a major part in our lives. It’s very easy to get involved in various discussions about one’s favorite show and what might happen in its future, and a fan can easily get exposed to all sorts of different opinions in just a few minutes.
It’s not rare for producers of TV shows to keep an eye on forums and other discussion boards exactly for this reason too, as they often find a lot of inspiration in those discussions. We don’t know if that’s the case with “Outlander”, but it’s probably safe to assume that the writers are paying at least some attention to those discussions.
Because they have been quite active in keeping touch with their community in general, so this is probably not out of the question either.
But in the end, we’re not going to know what they are planning for season 2 for some time, and it looks like we’re going to get more official information about the new season around the end of this year, if the producers really are planning to have it finished and ready for a March 2016 release. Hopefully some of the more positive rumors will turn out to have been true after all.
