Orphan Black Season 3 Is Over, Fans Cannot Believe What Happened, And More!

Orphan Black is a science fiction series from Canada and it just finished its third season last week. For those of you that have been keeping up on the show, you are most likely a little shocked at how the season ended. You should also know that you are not alone with those feelings and recently the creator was interviewed about the finale and what he says might be a surprise to you. The show basically focuses on one woman and her many “clones”.

The show focuses on the moral issues that surround the cloning of humans, so you can imagine that there is plenty to talk about when standing around the water cooler the next day. The third season was a shorter one than normal with only ten episodes and that was renewed on April of this year. Only one month later, the show was ordered for another ten episode season to start sometime in 2016. All three seasons that are complete have been ten episodes each, when most shows are held to thirteen episodes.

The reviews have been quite good for the show and judging by the award nominations, the fans are also quite fond of it. Outstanding New Program, Best New Show, Most Underrated Show, Best Drama Series, Best Writing in a Dramatic Series and Best Performance by An Actress are just a few of the nominations the show has seen over the last three years. Rotten Tomatoes gives the show a “97%” rating, which is not that easy to get on that site.

The end of the third season saw plenty of death, twists and turns that you might not have been able to handle. People are shot and the Neolutionists are back in a big way. The shows co-creator, John Fawcett talked with a few online sources about the last episode and what fans can expect when the fourth season starts next year. Castor clones have been dying off all season long, so that is becoming something normal for fans to see. There is one person that is hoping to get their hands on the original genetic source to the clones with hopes of changing that drastically. Cosima is still missing in action and the Clone Club is forcing Sarah to make “uneasy alliances” right now.

One of the events in the last episode that is sure to get people talking would be when Delphine got shot in the chest. There was no indication as to whether she lived or died and that is how it was supposed to happen. Finishing a season a high note like that is the exact reason you wait until the next season to get that important information. As it stands right now, other characters have been shot and came back the next season, so fans are quite hopeful right now.
