Official Trailer of ‘Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Momentarily Leaked on YouTube Before Being Taken Down

Apparently, it’s not enough that Director Zack Snyder released a 12-second teaser of the official trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” on April 15 via his Twitter account.

A fan, who happened to have seen the official movie trailer and captured it on video using his cell phone camera, has uploaded it momentarily on YouTube. However, within a matter of minutes, it was taken down again.

It is not clear if some YouTubers were able to catch a glimpse of the leaked official trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” but it seems that only a few fortunate souls were able to do so. But given that the supposed trailer was shown using a video from a cell phone camera, it is very unlikely that it’s of good quality when it was uploaded on YouTube.

However, another report said that even though the bootleg version of the trailer for the movie was only up for about a few minutes on YouTube, it immediately went viral when thousands of fans shared it online before Warner Bros took the offensive and pulled down the trailer from the site.

Portuguese subtitles and some voices

In addition to the poor quality of the video, the leaked official trailer also carries with it Portuguese subtitles which means that the fan who uploaded the clip on YouTube is most likely from Portugal.

There are also numerous commentators’ voices on the footage, which overlap one another. The commentators were talking about their opinions of the superheroes in the film. The voices mentioned about the need of the population of the planet for a savior who shall be the guy trying to do the right thing, reports The Express Tribune.

Then a blurred image of Ben Affleck’s face comes out before Batman followed suit, followed by Superman and Batman coming face to face.

After Snyder released the 12-second teaser to the official movie trailer on April 15, it was expected to premiere on IMAX theaters on April 20 during the Warner Bros-hosted special IMAX Trailer Event in the US. But apparently, some resourceful insider decided to capture the trailer on his cell phone camera and uploaded it on YouTube.

Word has it that official trailer of the movie, which will hit theaters on March 25, 2016, is very identical to the leaked footage but definitely of better quality.

Release date

The official trailer of the upcoming superhero movie based on DC Comics shall be released on May 15, attached to the Warner Bros movie “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

Warner Bros apparently wants the time frame from May 15 onwards all to itself since releasing the trailer earlier, would have it compete for attention and also comparison with Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” which will be showing on May 1.

As early as December last year, there have been reports that the trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has been leaked on the TV bulletin board called 4chan. But it was just for a matter of hours as reports have it that Warner Bros pulled the plug on it even before many people could see it.
