Now That The Incredibles 2 Has Been Confirmed, When Are We Getting more Official Information about the Film? Let’s See!

Recently, director Brad Bird decided to give a pleasant surprise to his fans and confirmed that “The Incredibles 2” is currently in the works, though he didn’t go into much detail on the film’s plot or possible release schedule. We do know that the studio is still in a very early stage of production though, as indicated by Bird’s claims that he’s been toying around with several different ideas for the script of the film, trying to figure out what direction he wants to take the plot in.

When asked about the current progress status of the film’s writing, he admitted that he only has a few pages of the script done, and he’s still trying to figure out which of his ideas should make it into the final film and which should be cut. He revealed that he has had various ideas for “The Incredibles” that didn’t make it into the original, so he’s hopeful that he might find a way to implement them into the storyline of the sequel now.

According to him, the main problem with the plot writing of “The Incredibles” were time constraints, and he was too hard pressed to be able to sort out the script exactly how he wanted it. Still, the final result was obviously satisfying to many people, Brad Bird himself included, so he did his job right to a large extent.

On the other hand, the director also has various new ideas that he wants to try out in “The Incredibles 2”, and we’re going to see at least some of those playing out in the sequel. We have no idea what those ideas could be exactly, but there have been some rumors allegedly coming from the set of the new film that could shed some light on the situation.

Previously, before even Brad Bird officially confirmed that the film was in the works, we got reports that it was going to be focused on Jack-Jack as he was taken under the wing of a mysterious villain, hoping to transform him into his apprentice.

The rumors further added that Jack-Jack would be having a lot of trouble adjusting to his life as a superhero, as he finds it difficult to put his powers under control, and that’s where the villain comes in and promises the boy to teach him how to control his special skills, as long as he sticks along with him. From then on, things get interesting for Jack-Jack and his whole family.
