It will not just be Amy and Sheldon who will be facing serious love problems in the upcoming Season 9 of the long-running American sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS.
While the throngs of fans of the show are surely saddened with the breakup of Amy and Sheldon during the series finale of Season 8, it will not just be the couple who will have to deal with strained relationships come the ninth season of the top-rating TV show.
According to show executive producer Steve Mollaro, in addition to Amy and Sheldon, there is also the hanging question during the series finale of Season 8 whether Penny and Leonard will tie the knot in Las Vegas as they earlier planned despite Leonard’s revelation that he previously kissed another girl.
Mollaro also added that the relationship of Raj and Emily will also be tested in Season 9 as Raj tries to find a way to solve his problem of communicating well with women, details Venture Capital Post.
While Raj may have shown some progress with his problem, it seems that he still has a lot of work to do. Mollaro disclosed that it is possible that Raj will finally overcome his dilemma come Season 9 as he is reportedly about to face an even bigger problem within him.
The showrunner revealed that Raj is in an interesting position in the show right now. So he’ll have to deal with himself whether he will push through with his relationship with Emily or not.
Another relationship in a rough patch
There is also the relationship of Howard and Bernadette who is also going on a rough patch, just like Amy and Sheldon’s.
According to Mollaro, the decision of the couple to move to the house of Howard’s mother would trigger plenty of memories on Howard which would affect his relationship with Bernadette.
They will be in a tough situation because however they try to make it their home, it still feels as if its still mother’s house all along and they have to deal with it as a couple, explained Mollaro.
Fans and viewers were dismayed of the twists at the series finale of Season 8 of the show that had the show’s two major relationships strained.
Now, fans can hardly wait for the airing of Season 9 to find out whether those two major relationships would be mended again.
Both the Sheldon-Amy and Leonard-Penny relationships went nearly down the drain at the end of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8. But fans and loyal viewers of the show believe that the ninth season shall focus on the mending of ties of the series’ two key relationships.
Coming back strong for Season 9
“The Big Bang Theory” focuses on the lives of four lovable geeks and the four women who love them.
There are hints that Lucy played by Kate Micucci, shall return to the show for Raj but Mollaro refuse to divulge the details. Instead, he actually insinuated that Emily may also be great for Raj.
