And for those who need even more signs that the watch is coming to the market, the original Moto 360 recently saw a price reduction, dropping down to $150 earlier in July. Some saw that as a pretty good sign that the new watch is coming soon.
But as we already saw, July went and passed without any announcements of the Moto 360 2 – so now all eyes are on August as many people are expecting the company to drop the news during the month.
There are also rumors of heavy customization options for the new watch, and this might actually be something that Motorola will focus on very strongly in its design, possibly even adding extra features that we haven’t seen in any Android smartwatch so far.
Customization is one of the key elements of Android in general, and it would be great to see Motorola paying special attention to it in the development of their new smartwatch. Wearable technology is still in an infant stage, and there is a lot to explore and discover in it – but we won’t know what works and what doesn’t until companies like Motorola have explored all the options that customers seem to be interested in. And right now, it looks like customization is a very hot topic.
