Miley Cyrus Confirmed as One of the Newest Coaches of ‘The Voice’ Season 11!

NBC’s top-rating singing reality competition TV show, “The Voice” has welcomed two new judges for its upcoming 11th season.

According to The Wrap, the long-running show has tapped the former Disney star Miley Cyrus and Grammy Award-winning singer Alicia Keys to fill in two coaching chairs for the show’s 11th season.

Paul Telegdy from NBC Entertainment released an official statement saying that the musical expertise and energy of Alicia and Miley will make the upcoming season remarkable and that the network is thrilled that they have agreed to join “The Voice” family.

Pharell Williams and Christina Aguilera will be sitting out the upcoming season and long-time coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have re-upped their deals as coaches.

Levine and Shelton have spent all 10 seasons together with Aguilera doing six between the boys. CeeLo Green, one of the original judges, was present for four seasons, as has Pharell.

Usher, Shakira, and Gwen Stefani have all done two seasons each. There are rumors surfacing that Gwen will be back as a key advisor in the upcoming season, but NBC still has to make a confirmation.

According to reports, Cyrus has signed a megabuck deal with the network for “The Voice.” Currently, Shelton and Levine make about $13 million per season although NBC is not making any official comment about it.

Cyrus has been serving as a key advisor on the show’s current season while Keys also served as an advisor back in Season 7.

Miley’s mentoring skills were seen in the show’s March 28 episode when she debuted as a guest adviser during the competition’s knockout rounds.

It was initially thought that Stefani will be replacing Christina as the two have alternately served as coaches for the previous seasons. It wasn’t until NBC’s official confirmation that Keys will be taking the fourth chair as a coach when things cleared out.

Cyrus confirmed her involvement in the singing competition via Twitter with Williams posting his own congratulatory tweet to the “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker after announcing his own departure.

The 23-year-old singer is not only making news because of her latest judging stint, she’s also making such a buzz because of her reunion and engagement with Liam Hemsworth.

Although there has still been no official word from either of them about their relationship status, friends and family members have indeed confirmed that the two are back together.

The latest confirmation comes from Dolly Parton, Miley’s godmother who told Entertainment Tonight early this month that she’s beyond happy the pair are back together.

In fact, the “Hannah Montana” star has been spotted donning her original engagement ring from Liam as of late.

The “Adore You” songstress was recently spotted taking a stroll around the SoHo neighborhood in downtown Manhattan flashing her favorite bling. Miley rocked her diamond ring along with some serious 70s-inspired style, E! News reports.

Fans recently got an up-close look at Miley’s engagement ring when she attended the New York Knicks’ game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Madison Square Garden over the weekend.

She was photographed sporting the sparkler on her left finger. The “Can’t Be Tamed” singer also dyed her hair platinum blonde in honor of Hannah Montana’s 10th year. The series first aired on Disney channel exactly a decade ago.

The “We Can’t Stop” singer attended the game with her sister Brandi and their mother, Tish. Tish posted a photo of the three on her Instagram page standing on the court while Brandi shared a snap of her and Miley enjoying the ball game.

Miley and Brandi were also spotted snapping selfies with New York Giants football star Victor Cruz and Cleveland Cavaliers’ J.R. Smith and the younger Cyrus seem to have been flaunting her new ring.

Cyrus is currently in New York filming her latest project, Woody Allen’s new “Amazon” series.
