Earlier in December, the successor to the Nokia Lumia 1320 was spotted. Known as the Microsoft Lumia 1330, its specifications were leaked on a benchmarking site. Although Nokia reportedly doesn’t have any plans to launch a new flagship device until H2, 2015. However, recent rumors suggest that the Microsoft Lumia 1330 phablet is already under development and will release with a few other devices during MWC 2015.
It is scheduled to take place from 2nd March to 5th March 2015 in Barcelona, Spain. According to NokiaPowerUser, the listing reports the specifications of this upcoming device. It features a 14 megapixels rear camera with 32GB of internal storage. Reports speculate the presence of Zeiss Optics along with an LED flash. Previous reports also claimed the presence of PureView technology in the Lumia 1330’s optics. We are not sure if the device features an external memory slot, although, a 5 megapixel front camera will be provided.
Under the hood, you get a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and an Adreno 305GPU. As obtained from GFX Benchmark listing, it will have a Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 chipset along with a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU. Direct X 11 support will also be provided. All of the specifications comply with the earlier leaks regarding this device. The Microsoft Lumia 1330 or the 1335 will feature a 5.7 inch 720p High-Definition screen with an OLED display.
An alleged variant of Microsoft Lumia 1330 of the model number RM-1062 was noticed in a FCC certification listing by the aforementioned source through GSMArena. According to the listing, there is a single-SIM LTE version of the Microsoft Lumia 1330. It could also be known as Lumia 1335 which complies with the current generation naming trend by Microsoft. While the Lumia 1320 was launched last year at a price near the $400 mark, it was soon cut down by more than 100 dollars. It featured a 720p 6-inch display, running on a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Dual-Core processor with 1GB of RAM.
Other interesting features included a 3400mAh battery, a VGA front camera, and micro SD card support. The more compact screen on the Lumia 1330/1335 provides a better viewing experience with a sharper and vibrant display. We are expecting a noticeable upgrade over the frugal camera specifications on the Lumia 1320.
In the case of the Lumia 1330, the FCC Listing shows the presence of an LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) or LTE Release 10 connectivity. Therefore, the 1335 could end up being the first Lumia to support the wireless 4G connectivity.
